I’m Caroline Cawley. Known to most as Cauls. And the rest as Cala. CalaCauls is bandied about by some.
My life pretty much revolves around Music.
I listen to it. I’ve been known to book gigs for the enjoyment of it by those who wish to hear it under ClubAC30 Dublin. Now that I live in Nottingham I DJ a bit again and it’s one of my favourite things, again. I foist cds on my friends containing it. I watch movies sometimes only to rate the quality of it. I write about it. My dreams are punctuated with it. I have overcome some irrational 16 year old fears of playing it (very recently). I generally look forward to being left feeling weak, overcome and euphoric by it, recorded and live. I managed to write my final year English Thesis on the adaptation of book to film, and spent the half of it going on about how soundtrack is massively influential on one’s perception of a movie. Cheeky.
There is, of course, more to me than music and its scattered but incestuously related peripheries.
I think.
